i drove a truck for only a year or two a dozen years ago but it sure can help you get out of getting a ticket or at least have it reduced. a cop has to be pretty cold hearted to write you one that would cause you to lose your truck driving job or safety bonus [that you lie about having] when your driving in your car.

What? I dont understand what your trying to say in that post. Are you saying that you got pulled over, lied about having a safety bonus and then the cop just let you go? Is that what your saying?

trucking companies often give a safety bonus every month or so many miles without a ticket and they can say the deal includes not getting a ticket off the job too. maybe you won't lie to try to get out of a ticket but i will. i'll tell him i still drive a truck when i really don't any more in a heartbeat. getting an extra $1.25 an hour in the 60 hour week with the safety bonus and telling the cop your poor family needs the extra $250 for the month plus your not eligible for the bonus the next 2 months can get some sympathy.

I always write tickets to Truck Drivers W/ CDL's .. If you are gonna be careless enough to drive fast in your car, then you really dont care about your SAFETY BONUS or TRUCK DRIVING JOB. !!!!!!

well that kindof depends i think. i mean everyone makes honest mistakes every once in awhile so i dont think its worth getting people into that much trouble. alot of judges will drop charges for someone that relies on driving for their occupation anyway tho unless they were doing something blatantly against the law like 20+ over or something like that.
