Angry My 92 lumina runs great then like a piece of crap

Here is the deal I recently bought a 92 lumina with the 3.1 V-6 in it. On the way home it ran great. However AFter it sat for 1hr I went to go for a drive. It was running good. then 10 minutes later. I started having a really rough Idle but not stalling.

On the way home from when i first got it I could hit 60 in seconds. Now Once I get to about 40 it doesnt want to go. It Like shuters or vibrates.
Just dont get It. I changed Plugs Oil and Wires bUt It still Does the same thing. Now today I went to drive it Did real good for a while then after a little bit same thing.

ANY IDEAS??

Please help Its the only car I got

JIM

If it has a steady miss to it when it starts misbehaving, you might have a bad coilpack that's making 2 cylinders miss when the coilpack gets warmed up.

2 dead holes will make it weak and shake like hell....

I recently bought one also and had the same problem and did all the bull that was suggested finally a friend said that injectors must have a certain amount of pressure so I borrowed a fuel pressure guage turns out the fuel pump was only puting out about 15 lbs of pressure instead of the 32 to 45 lbs required. this is simple to cheak for and cheap to fix if its the problem.

Have someone check for stored codes (check engine light on?) and post the results if any. Diagnosing lack of power and misses is difficult as so many things can cause the same symptoms.

Sounds like a problem I had. Two of my plugs were not firing making the car idle rough and no power. The 2 plugs were controled by the same coil. I replaced the coil and it still did it. It ended up being the ignition module control board where the coils are attached too. I replaced that and fixed the problem.
