1994 3.0 engine running badly
My mom has a 1990 villager with over 222000 miles on it. Just the today when i started it up to move it, it made a loud noise, hard to explain. Kind of a constant whine that goes up with engine rev in neutral. I got a video that will try to make sense of this noise. the check engine light has been on for like 6 months and i noticed a slight shutter when idleing and to about 2500 rpm's. Oil is good and trans fluid is good. Can anyone make sense of this noise?
Here it is inside the car with the door open. http://media.putfile.com/Bad-Villager You can hear it as i rev it and when its idleing. It also sounds kind of clunky. |

Re: 1994 3.0 engine running badly
Well has to be the best question ever. You even added a video to point out the sound.
Back to the question. Replace the power steering pump it is on its way out. It is the one with the white bottle on it(could look dirty but white?) I would also have the codes read at a Autozone or a shop. That light could mean alot of things so the sooner the better. |
