Need help with custom box
Alright, well i'm going to build a box to fit in my spare tire wheel well...and i went to go buy the fibreglass and realized i have no idea how much to buy....could anyone make any suggestions, it's sold by the meter...also, the resin and hardener is sold by the litre...will one litre be enough??? thanks a lot

Get enough that you can make the box at least 4 plys thick.
this is a subwoofer box and regidity will make a diffrence in the box sise. if the sub moves and the box buldges then the sise of the internal volume will change and the output will varry. like i say at least 4 but i would personaly go like 6.

You're gonna need at aleast 2 or 3 liters, and at least 4 or 5 meters

so that's goin to make a total of $100 cdn...is that normal or should i look for a better deal. That's $60 usd....whatcha think?

Sounds about normal to a little high.
I got most of my stuff from the local checker auto, and had to buy the fiber in packages of 3' by 3' and they were like 5$. I bought like 8 of them. then the resin was about 15$ for a 1/2 gallon. but thats probably not as nice of stuff as what your geting.

I spent 60-70 from home depot, but you're better off going to a boat repair shop and buying in bulk from them.

alright, i found a place that actually sells that kind of stuff....much cheaper than canadian tire...i talked ot my buddy that works at future shop, so i'm set...how long do you think it'll take, i'm guessing about 8 hours...is that about right???

Took me a couple of weeks, but I guess it depends on what you have planned and how much you work on it. I'd say atleast a full weekend for a complete, good job.
