'89 Idle Slow/Stop and Check Engine Light On
I have an 1989 Acura Legend Coupe and the Check Engine Light comes on and off at different times. When slowing down or coming to a stop the car shuts off. The idling is not working properly at times. Can you suggest what to check first or tell me what the problem might be?

 BRING YOUR CAR TO A SHOP AND LET THEM DIAGNOSE IT BY USING THE OBD1 SCANNER TO KNOW WHY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND OFF. OR IF YOU HAVE A FRIEND WHO KNOWS HOW TO RESET IT. AND CHECK THE FUEL SYSTEM IT MIGHT HAVE SOME VACCUM LEAK.
