My 2003 Odyssey has frequent, but intermittent periods where the engine warning light remains on, sometimes for days and sometimes both the engine and TCS lights remain on. Just when I get ready to take it to a dealer the lights go out!! I cannot see how the two lights can be related unless this combination is a special code. Anyone out ther have an idea for the possible causes?

Re: Intermittent engine and TCS warning lights
A lot of times when a code is set, something may have only been slightly out of limits and corrects itself. In this case, it is correcting itself and the light is going out after so many drive cycles. Now when the PCM sees a problem, it will temporarily ignore input for other modules. When this happens, these other modules will set a trouble code, even though nothing is wrong with them. Go ahead and take the vehicle to autozone and have the codes pulled. Even though the engine light is off, the codes are still there.
