Still trying to diagnose my problem
In my post below ( Bosch vs OEM O2 sensors ) I asked if the dealer could be right about aftermarket O2 sensors. I have replaced the ones I bought from Advance with more from Advance, just to make sure I didn't get bad ones. They swapped them out for me, so I'm not out anything. I still have the same problem though. When I start the car it dies immediatley and I can barely keep it running at all. When I hold hold the accelerator steady at 2000 rpm the engine sometimes dies and sometimes revs up to about 4000 rpm. Could my throttle positioning sensor be causing this? And if it is bad would it cause the top O2 sensors to peg out ? Thanks

Re: Still trying to diagnose my problem
could be a vacuum leak. so many driveability problems and idle problems are due to vacuum leaks.

Re: Still trying to diagnose my problem
multicylinder missfire?... check your plugs make sure they are in good condition and the sytem too lean.. i had hte same problem.. the car would run normal till it got warm then at idle it would sputter and sumtimes stall. this is an easy fix..
find your maf (mass airflow sensor) its on the tube after the airbox leading ot the engine.. pull off the hard plastic like tube its connected in.. but sum electrical cleaner and spray hte fuck out of the inside of the tube and the sensor.. let sit for about 45 and make sure it is dry befor you replace it. you should have no problems after that.. that is what cleaned up my system to lean and my idleing problems. also if so none of this works.. i belive "Bank One" is your O2 Sensor # 1. (your car has 2. one before the cat and one after it) which is the one befor the cat u can see it under the hood... so if all else fails you may need to spend the 30 or os dollars to buy a new O2 sensor. My friend down at Advanced Auto told me ot stay away from Bosch. Yes they are nice for domestic cars but for sum reason cause problems with imports. stick with the OEM
