06 Silverado Lift Kit?

I just bought a Pro comp 6 in. suspension lift for my 2006 1500 2wd silverado. I am having trouble with the front and rear cross members. The bolt pattern is 1/4 in. wider than the brackets on the truck.(where the lower a arms are bolted.) Is this a common problem and do I have to make the holes wider on the truck to bolt the cross members up? Or is this the wrong lift?

in previous years 2wd trks were rack and pinion w\coil springs. 4wd were recirc. ball steering boxes w\torsion bars. it probably never occured to the people that made the kit that someone would put a 6" lift it on a 2wd truck.
between the cost of the kit, tirres ,wheels, would go a long way on the 4wd option.
