iPod "In-Ear" headphones

I have a question for iPod owners, who owns that "In-Ear" headphones and had to get them replaced a number of times because one ear dies out for some reason? ANd I take care of my stuff, everytime i use those head phones I take them out of the container, softly unravel them, use them, softly ravel them up in the container, and close the container.....

my left ear bud went dead, just lke all the other times...I don't get what's going on, and I'm really pissed. This is the 4th time I have to go get them replaced, under warranty of course. it's jsut the inconvenience.... First time, left ear went dead after like 8 months, got new pair, left ear went dead after like 9 months, got new pair, left ear went dead and only played low frequencies after not even one month, got new pair, same thing, only had it 2 and a half weeks, and the left ear can only play low frequencies, and you can hear a difference in volume......I don't know what the hell is going on, and they said it's definintely not my iPod. The guy said it happens, but not this often....Plus, i never go over 75% in the volume and I have sound check on.

Shoddy craftsmanship?

Do other headphones work? There must be something you can do.

Re: iPod "In-Ear" headphones

I haven't had any problems with mine yet(except for the time they went through the washing machine...but after they dried they worked fine), and I don't keep them in the container. They are usually stuffed into my pocket...other than that I guess I take care of them pretty well.

Maybe you periodically go deaf in your left ear?

Yea its a rip off. I would recomend switching to the sony in ear headphones, they cost about the same are everyone tells me their alot better. They also look more comfortable too. I think the apple store sells them too.

Re: iPod "In-Ear" headphones

Yeah, I love Apple, but those $40 headphones they make blow. Terrible sound, terrible quality. Apple really dropped the bomb on those earbuds.

Go with the Sony MX81's. They're $50 but they're as close to sound isolating as you'll get for less than $150.

is that even possible? lol

but yea, eversio11, those would do a similar job the the Apple ones in noise cancellation? because that's why i bought the apple ones in the first place, noise cancellation. If anyone else has any suggestions for "In-ear noise cancellation (and comfortable)" headphones please, suggest away.

Re: iPod "In-Ear" headphones

iPod headphones are a joke. Although I've never had a problem with mine, they just aren't very high quality. Just get some decent ones.

Re: iPod "In-Ear" headphones

My first ones I took care of and they lasted a whole month. The 2nd pair I got from a friend because he broke his iPod and those ones I don't take care of and they've lasted me almost 2 years now.
