Help! 1992 s-10 blazer: no start
Got a problem here, can anyone help?
Here's the deal: Just bought a 92 s-10 blazer, ran okay when I went to test drive it, though I heard a loud whirring when I turned the ignition to ON. My dad thinks it was the fuel pump. Now, no whir, and no start; just turns over endlessly but no start. My dad and my brother are looking at it now, unfortunately I don't know too much about cars; any ideas? P.S.: does anyone have a wiring diagram that would show the wires going to the fuel pump? Thanks |

Re: Help! 1992 s-10 blazer: no start
Sounds like the fuel pump went bad. Try and check your fuel pressure at the shrader valve located behind the plenum on the driver side. You have 60 - 65psi with the ignition switch on. If nothing and you can't hear the pump priming when you turn your ignition switch on. Then I would say that you need to replace your fuel pump. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

Just so that you know a shrader valve looks just like the fill valve on your tire.
