V.W. Jetta Anti Theft Problem
HELP....Last night the battery went dead due to the freezing Temperatures. When I connected a new battery the Anti-Theft alarm went on (flashing Lights---Beeping horn etc..) and it wont allow me to start the engine. Since the door locks ( drivers side and passenger side) are both broken, I have no way to turn off the alarm. Since I can't turn off the alarm, I cannot start my car. HOW can I disconnect this crazy alarm system??? Is there a fuse? or perhaps a wire? .. Even with a fresh battery, I cannot start the car. The Horn blows, the lights Flash for four munites then stop. ... What can I do? ....HELP ..... Thanks for any helpful information ......... Tim [email protected] .

Re: V.W. Jetta Anti Theft Problem
isnt there a main fuse in the fuse box? there has to be something that turns this off but it may come back on because i dont think the car will start with this fuse disconected. Or else all a crook would have to do would be disconnect the fuse. you'll be laughing about this in a couple of months
tell me what you did when you get this sortted out. get the locks fixed while on the driveway maybe?
