Strange noise: 86 Mustang.
Hi everyone. I'm new to the community, it's really awesome reading other peoples advice on their cars and solutions to some people's problems.
Before I start, I want to mention that I don't have a great deal of knowledge about cars, I'm sort of trying to learn what I can about fixing and repairing problems. So with that in mind, I was wondering if any of you could help me with a problem I'm having with my 86 mustang. There has been a strange noise coming from the drivers side instrument panel, it sounds like it is in the lower area around where the fuse box is. It sort of sounds like a... grinding, static-like sound, maybe even electrical crackling. It only makes that noise when the car is in motion and going anywhere over 10 kph. Otherwise I don't hear it at all. I don't have the slightest clue as to what it could be. If any of you could tell me what it could possibly be and how serious it could be to warrant it getting into the shop ASAP. I would really appreciate any help! Thanks again guys! |
