Low Oil Pressure

I'm havin a bit of a problem with my 96 Bonneville. Whenever I turn sharply either direction or start & stop suddenly my oil pressure gauge drops, sometimes all the way to the "red" zone. Otherwise it is normal. Any ideas?

Re: Low Oil Pressure

Could be a problem with a bad Oil pressure sending unit loacted next to the oil filter.May also check the harness that is plugged into the sending unit,as it maybe lose and not making a good contact.

Here is a picture of the location of the sending unit and it is the one with the green plug.

Re: Low Oil Pressure

Just trying to find out if you found a good solution to this problem. It's happening to my 96 Bonny as well. Start, stop, turn and the oil guage drops, sometimes to the point of the chime "ding, ding, ding".
