98 Blazer - Airbag indicator on
98 Blazer
Tonight the airbag indicator came on. When turning the key on from the off position it flashes a number of times (havent counted yet) and then stays on and sometimes goes off when accelrating or slowing to a stop. Any ideas? It did this once before a few months ago and taking the fuse out (the one labeled SIR in the fuse compartment in the dash) and putting it back in cured the problem. Now that is no use. |

Yeah, it will have to be diagnosed and fixed at a pro shop. I am pretty competent around airbags, but still, there is just simply not that much one can do to fix them when the airbag module quits or the control module takes a vacation. About all one can do is swap parts if any of them start to fail. Not much you can do on a nuts and bolts level to fix it.

We are imperfect as a whole. And in our imperfection, make imperfect things. Of course, some vehciles are a little less imperfect than a GM truck, but that's what we call character.
