Yeah, I was gonna say that I'm pretty sure those are a Mercedes wheel, or rather AMG.

Correct, and thus it doesn't have the bolts around the edge.

Re: NEED HELP! Name that RIM!

is that car in the pics a C55 ? i know someone who owns one, but with different wheels, and dont think that the C55 comes with the supercharger, but the one i know has a retro-fitted supercharger. 500bhp C-Class.

Re: NEED HELP! Name that RIM!

I would assume it's an earlier C32, which did have the supercharger as this car appears to be advertising...

yea, i think you're right.

looking at pictures i have of a standard C55 it has quad tailpipes.

my friend's dad bought one but it wasnt big enough as a family car, it was passed down to my friend's brother who then took it to his workshop. added a mercedes supercharger and a few other goodies. it also has a "real" gearbox with a gate and a clutch. that thing shreds tyres like its goin out of fashion.

Those bolts around the edge aren't used for anything except for styling. It's an imitation bead-lock. 2 piece wheels are just a rim that is heated up to allow the centerpiece to pop into place, then they are welded together along the inside of the rim. God help us if companies start bolting 2 piece wheels together. Peace-

Re: NEED HELP! Name that RIM!

i thought there were actually wheels that are two seperate pieces, like Rays Engineering Volk Racing GT-C are two seperate pieces aren't they ? how else you you have that very polished rim and painted smooth, but not polised, centre ?
