flooding ?

my 1990 lumana will not stay running after it dies there is fuel coming back out of the throttle body HELP

Try looking at the fuel pressure regulator (FPR). Had one do this to me ( hard start, rough idle/died / fuel smell , etc. Turned out to be the FPR. Didn't have time to fix so I took in in... think it was somewhere around $300.

could be...also have seen TBI's do that when the coolant temp sensor goes wonky. It can make it go full rich like that..

thanks guys it took a couple of days before I got your replies so I poked around a little more and found gas coming out of the vacuum hose from the regulater so I changed it and that was what it was. thanks again, this is a great sight.
