After Starting my 97 GT 5speed it sounds awful for 2 seconds then runs great...Help?
after i start the car, it makes this awful clanking/ticking noise for like 2 seconds then stops and idles/runs great, there is only 40k miles on it. It will stop doing this when the car is fully warmed up. It started doing this one morning while in an angry mood, i had just started the car and did a small burnout, ever since then it has made this noise after it starts. to me the noise sounds like its coming from inside the engine...Any ideas guys?

Yes I Have An Idea I Hear That Noise A Lot
I Work At A Nissan Lincoln Mercury Dealer The 4.6 Liter Sohc Has A Very Noisy Valvetrain Until The Oil Prussure Comes Up And Is Very Normal For Them And The Thing About It Happening After Beating It Up While Angry And Then Making The Noise You Probably Just Didnt Notice The Noise Until You Thought You Hurt It So Not To Worry You Should Hear Them After You Do An Oil Change They Sound Like There Going To Blow Up For About Five Seconds And Then Sound Fine
