My "new" car!!!

Just bought a 76 camaro - 100,000 miles, one female owner, mint body (the car!) 305 V8, two barrel carb (for now), rebuilt tranny in 96, brand new carpeting - 1500 bucks!!!

I got new tires and rims, a 4-barrel carb a new steering wheel and some black seats im gonna put in and a black top I'm ordering - I just have a couple questions

It's tan!!! I was thinking about getting it painted but I'm low on cash since I just shelled out 1500 plus insurance and registration

Where should I get it painted??? I was thinking Maaco but I've heard some bad stories

Also, has anyone had any experience painting their dashboard with that "stuff" that I guess you kinda rub on???

Any other suggestions would be cool - thanks guys (and girls??)

I have some heat coming into the cabin from underneath the dash - I know I can put a valve on the hose coming from the waterpump but what's it called?

Thanks to anyone that can help me out :flash:

you got a bargin there and looks so clean too! i'd be inclined to leave it well alone and have it as a show car!!

still a nice motor! i want a '69 Z28. a '70 Z28 and an '88 Z28! not all at same time, (i wish) but we all got to start somewhere. see javelin in other cars.

I fixed the heat thing by putting a shutoff valve after the water pump so the hot stuff doesnt flow through the cabin

yeah im gonna keep it the original color - glad you guys like it!

the woman still calls me up to ask how she is

good deal man....

I would have to paint it solid black and get the chrome bumpers off of a earlier 70's camaro, and then save up for some 17" or 18" american racing torque thrust II wheels.
