Angry 00 Blazer "Dead Battery" Again

The new battery that I put in is now dead. There is something that is not obvious draining the battery overnight. I have checked the entire vehicle in and out for something that is possibly draining the battery. Are there any inherent problems or something I am missing with this frustrating situation I am experiencing???

I also have a short that will kill my battery in my 98 Blazer. I have just about evey thing unplugged that I can find to unplug and have traced the wires. Didn't have my problem till I replaced front brakes and drivers side lower ball joint. Did you ever find your problem? Let me know Thanks

Like the post right above yours.
You need to get a amp draw meter on it and check for amp draw.
Are you sure the charging system is good?

If your battery is dying when sitting or doing so all at once this won't help, BUT, if you are having a situation where the battery seems to be getting weak you certainly should d/c the alternator for amps as well as volts, and be watchful of your starter. if the bearrings are shot it will take so much power to turn over it will destroy your battery over time. replaced my dad's starter just s few weeks ago due to this. If it is a short, good luck. Those are usually hard to find....

problem found

CD player went goofy. Draws when not on. Also battery was bad would read 12.2 volts but voltage would drop to 2 volts when starter was activated. Starter was checked and ok. Connections at starter were dirty. Thanks for your replys.

My battery problem ended up being a A/C relay under the hood that was bad allowing the A/C sytem to be on overnight running down the battery.
