Help! car starts, rev up for 1 sec and dies. Any ideas welcomed
I gave this car to my little sis. Once every 4 months it would die while I coasted to a stop while on the clutch. It would always start right back up.
This never happened consistenly enough for me to trace down the cause. Now it appears that the car won't reach an idle state at all. It will turn over. Ignition is attained. Rev up normally, but only for 1 sec and die right away. Go figure. I am clueless. Just trying to get some ideas as to whether I can drive to Arkansas to DIY or do I have to a pay a mechanic to find the source. Your input is welcomed. Thanks. |

Forgot to mention it is a '91 GS
I am wondering if its the distributor or is there is a cam position sensor that may be causing this issue.
