Rear Speakers 5" ???
Hi,
I have a 94 Isuzu Rodeo with the rear speakers that sit in those funky little boxes behind the seat. I measured them as 5" speakers and Crutchfield verifies that. They have blown, and the problem is I can't find a standard 5" speaker anywhere. So what can I do with those speaker boxes? Or better yet, what are you doing with your rear speakers? Thanks for any and all tips or advice. mbMike |

When I installed the subs/amp in mine, I unhooked my rear speakers. You can put a 4" in there and it should fit.

Trim the edges and pop in 5 1/4?
I've never looked at the set up so I don't realy know. |

J.C. Whitney sells a 5" round speaker. It's a coaxial with a 40oz magnet. The mounting depth is 1 7/8".

I can't find anything at JC Whitney, unfortunately. I may go the 4" or 5.25" route.
I would love to put something more powerful in there, but I really need the hauling space and it's already kind of limited. Thanks for the suggestions, I will post what I do whenever I actually take action. |

Quote:
the front grille will just pop out with a flathead screwdriver, from there you can unscrew the speakers. |
