Seatbelt Light while driving

I'm driving a 98 Lumina car. MY seatbelt light comes on after about 10 minutes of driving from a cold start. Comes on earlier if the car has been drivin. It comes on dimly at first and builds to full intensity. Engine speed does seem to have some input into the intensity of the light, because it does brighten or go out on occasion, but will come back on if i'm driving for any period of time. Seat belt is connected and locked into place. can't get light to flicker at all when physically moving the seat belt or locking mechanism. Buckle does seem clean and fully functional. All input and thought on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Seatbelt Light while driving

The seatbelt lamp wiring comes up from under the seat, and may be corroded and breaking connection after a little while.

Maybe a bad sensor in the seat belt buckle?
