I get this really loud buzzing noise everytime I turn on my radio. I'm not sure if it is an electrical problem in the dash or somewhere in the engine, possibly the alternator? The static gets more intense when I accelerate. Is there anything I can do to figure out where it's coming from?

Re: 91 regal gs radio fuzz
My GFs car does the same thing (91 Regal). i can tell you that it's not the alt. because I just replaced it. I think it's probably got something to do with the electrical system like coils/wires/plugs. I'm going to change them out in the next week so I'll let you know if that helps.

Re: 91 regal gs radio fuzz
RF (Radio Frequency) interference can happen when you re-route plug wires, other wires, or use unshielded when previous had shielded wire/cable.

Re: 91 regal gs radio fuzz
yeah I understand that but I never rerouted any cables. I used OE parts but it stayed constant. I know I've seen filters that you plug the antenna cable into then into the radio. Maybe I'll try that.
