Turn key and nothing....well sometimes......
Hi all:
I just purchased a 1999 CR-V and have one annoying problem. Since it's a 5 speed I need to depress the clutch in order to start. Sometimes it'll start and sometimes it wont. Every once in a while when it wont start(or crank) I'll put into or out of gear (with the clutch depressed) and that will allow it to start...but this is not always the case. Any clue as to where to look first? Ignition switch or clutch/start switch or ??? BTW, anyone know where the clutch switch is? Thanks! |

Re: Turn key and nothing....well sometimes......
the clutch switch is typically on the clutch pedal bracket under the dash.
Do any or all lights on the dash come on when you try to start? May be a sign of a starter going bad also.
