my first attempt at painting

I did this on 8x10 canvas, pretty small. It's for my art class. It's my old 240sx. I used water based oil paints. It takes a while to get used to the materials when painting, but it's a lot of fun.

good stuff! looks like you got the basics sorted.

when you say 'water based oils' do you mean acrylics?

No, not acrylics. These are water based oils. Normally they would use regular oil paints, but the professor is allergic to them. I never heard of water based oils before this class.

Oh PS- I'm gonna be doing a color glaze over this, so expect the color version in a few weeks. The oils take a long time to fully dry.
