That would work extremely great if you could do that, but the thing is, it says you need extreme mental toughness, it's hard for one person to push themself that far by themselves. This is why there are those hard ass drill seargents out there, to push you, and it's not by motivating you either. Do you think you could go out and run 3 miles, then do those 5 sets of however many pushups, situps, and pullups, and then swim continuously for 60 minutes, without cheating yourself?

You can use that workout as a "guide" and just kind of do what your body can handle, but still push yourself. You could also go in a weight room to substitute for the pullups and pushups by using bench and lat pull downs, and yet still swim and run. Either way, a workout like that is tough and you need to be strict on yourself to acheive results, the harder you work, the more it pays off in the end, it all depends on how devoted you can be and how much you want it.

Have a strong mental attitude and push yourself far!

I never thought I could push myself as far as I have with the coaches I have, they are a great help and in sense football practice is much like this, and with mandatory weight lifting it just makes the benefits that much greater.

That's a pretty tough schedule, but the mental toughness required by the SEALs comes when their instructors have them running while carrying a huge log over their heads, not sleeping for 4-5 days at a time, swimming in freezing cold water, running in full gear after jumping in the freezing cold ocean then rolling in the sand...shit like that. SEAL training is much more than calisthenics.
