least expensive way to get more power from my 4.6 pi any ideas

I have a 97 4.6 pi in my 87 f150 any ideas on getting more power I just added magna flows today and that really helped but I am looking for a little more . is there anyone that knows of a kit to change air flow and will that help thanks.

Your Truck is no different than any other motor. More fuel, and air, and more spark, more BANG Since you started by changing the mufflers (good place to start by the way), you should make your mods complement that. I would start by changing the heads and intake, get the Ford PI (Peformance Improved, NOT to be confused with "Police Interceptor"!!!!) heads (4.6 and 5.4 use the same heads, so any PI SOHC from the same year should work). The PI intake will allow much more air and you will feel it (more so combined with the free flowing exaust). At this point, you shouldnt need to upgrade your fuel delevery system. However if you were to add a blower or turbo then that would be a good idea!!! This is a pain in the *ss however. You will need to pull the engine out, and do alot of taking apart. Not a two hour bolt on that will alow you to drive your car to work the next day.

Yes what Fullyinvolved it's a good idea but I think that's too much and too much $$$$$
I also want a little more and I am going to do the following MOD's on my 98 crown vic P71 4.6L dual exhaust glass pack-pipes no catalytic converters, K&N air filter and I have stock 3.27 gears and I am going to upgrade to 3.73's it will give it a quicker take off,my transmission is electronic so I had to order a SUPERCHIPS programmer to adjust the shifting and if I am not satisfy I will just upgrade my cams 4.6L are over head cams which is better than taking off the cylinder heads off
