For over a year now I have been parking under a tree with a mildew problem. The stuff is now all over my car. It doesn't wash off with anything I use and I am afraid to use anything stronger in fear it will take the paint off. I was thinking about just having it repainted and find somewhere else to park, but what I know of mold, once you have it, it is just about impossible to get rid of.
Has anyone ever heard of such a problem and can a good body shop remove all the mold and repaint the car without the mold reappearing? Thanks, JAPerson |

Re: Exterior Mildew/Mold Problem
mold no mildew possible if left in damp dark enclosed storage several months. more likely tree mist& or tree sap.removal is simple. blot area affected with laceur thinner, if you rub you will scratch the paint. blot only. then use a polish,ie #7 meguires Klasse all in one, menzerna final polish or your own pref.lac thinn will not harn your paint. finish with fav wax. hope this helps.
