I'm back and a slight problem...
Hi, been away for a bit, other things to concentrate on, but I dug out my R33GTR the other day, it's so nearly finished, but there's one problem.
I cocked up the spraying of my windshield clear part, and there is a bit of erraneous black paint (quite a bit really) where it shouldn't be. I've tried Mr Muscle oven cleaner on it, tried polishing it off with a cloth and pure friction but nothing seems to work ![]() Is there anything else I can try? (I'm still planning to do the 400R when the R33 is finished, btw... ) |

If I read right and you were painting the black part of the windscreen and the paint leaked onto the part which needs to be clear there is two ways.
1) Use a pointed end toothpick and scratch off the paint. (It smetimes wont work depending on the amount of paint on the windscreen). 2) Use 400grit sand paper to sand the paint off, then use 800grit, then 1200grit, higher if you think you would need to. Then use a polishing compound (future floor polish...ect) and polish the windscreen. I have never tried the second option but I've seen the results and it works.

you can do without the sand papering and use just polishing compound itself if the paint isnt too thick.
