fuel filter?? 97 lesabre 3.8

My check engine light came on and was running very rough I had the codes read.It said multiple cylinder failure replaced wires, plugs and coil packs then the car died all together.I bled the fuel line and air came out for a good 5 seconds ,after that the car started and ran good for a while and now its starting it all over again. What is your advice ...I thought maybe a fuel filter....please help

Get a fuel pressure tester on the rail see what the pressure is. You need at least 40 psi.

Yes I would check your fuel psi too. I just changed my filter on my 97. It's on the passenger side just in front of the fuel tank. It's not too hard. Really messy! Gas likes to run down your arm. Make sure you relieve the psi in the system before you open the line.

Unless you really got some dirty gas I don't think it's your filter though. It would have to be really pluged.

Regards

Dan
