3 Wanna try against me! i work for FED EX trust me i hate the job but it pays i dont order anything through FED X for that same reason UPS isnt all that great either you should post a claim for the property stolen!!!!!
but next time you place an order through fedex leave a note on the door saying "If im not home please do not leave packages at the door"
you can try and pick up the package at their offices or wait till the next day. but cause you live in Pennsilvania the Corporate headdicks are out there so go bitch at them

What kind of incompetant moron will leave a parcel on the doorstep when there is no one home??? Not only does it say 'steel me' to the opportunist theif, it certainly doesnt ensure a safe delivery to the customer, what if it was to rain and u came home to find a soggy package! Do delivery men have common sense???

The thing that really turns my stomach though is that the person who nicked it is probably not even into models and just dumped it somewhere.

I certainly think u should kick up a major fuss about this and demand compensation - take no shit!!! Perhaps Lownslow could help u with his inside knowledge to make sure u get reimbursed. What do u think guys?

Lownslow, Sorry you work for fedex, Im just venting....

I took every precaution to prevent this mishap, most importantly by calling them and rescheduling the delivery, after reconfirming it with them before leaving and checking the online tracking which also confirmed the rescheduling, they still delivered it the next day and just left it there..... Hell I even warned them of my concern of it getting stolen.. I really didnt have a choice about using fedex, Best1hobby uses them as a carrier. I thought FedEx was supposed to be more reliable than the US Postal service.

Best1hobby and HLJ are both great places to get models from. However, they always take so long to get me my orders. You would think that HLJ, since they're in Japan, would be able to get orders in fast. I mean, they're right at the source, you can't get any better than that. But, still they take forever. Things they have in stock, it comes pritty fast, but when it's not in stock, man, it takes forever. And Best1hobby, I live close enough, that I always go pick-up my orders from them and even then, it takes forever for them to get an order in. It seems like they don't have much in stock, they just order from their distributor as customers order from them. That's kinda cheap if you ask me.

Yen: The reason why HLJ can't get stuff fast is because their distributor doesn't them it. And the reason why their distributor doesn't have it is because the manufacturer doesn't make kits so often. Location doesn't make a big difference, and it's the same situation even here in Tokyo.
Several hundred trees can be produced in a matter of few days. They set up the mold, let the machine shoot hundreds of trees, and the mold sits idle for several months until the next production run. Some kits are produced only once or twice a year just after spring or fall trade shows, so if your order falls into the blank period, you end up waiting forever.
My advice is to order only instock items, and never even bother a backorder, except pre-ordering a new item.

Hey, thanks for the insight. I had no idea they only made a certain quantity of each kit per year, quarter, monthly, or whatever it is. That would definately explain why it takes so much time. All this time I thought the manufacture produced kits according to demand. Thanks for the info.

OH yeah, right now in Japan, it's Friday 6pm and still havn't received a reply to my email from HLJ. It's been over 5 days and three emails. I know they must be hella busy since they pritty much dominate the Import model industry, but still, they should reply to their customers.
