Body molding on the door...

Has anyone removed them before and know how to do it? is it just the two end bolts then clips in the middle? I am taking them off to paint them and dont wanna break any clips or the mouldings.

I have never gotten the molding off without breaking the clips in the middle off. You could try taking the inter part of the door off and the plastic under that to try and pop them out from behind.
Good luck

Well I defineatly dont wanna break clips, but after the two nuts is that all that is left are clips? If so I got the other panels off only breaking one and it was on my first try.

the clips are expensive so don't break 'em. You can just leave the moldings on and pain them like most people do. Or you can shave 'em like my car!

I want to take them off, to paint them. I have painted molding on a car and it didnt come out how I wanted. I guess I will experiment and post my results. BTW how much do the clips cost, I made my own to replace the one i broke out of sheet metal and it works perfectly.

KB Rocks!! I went yesterday and found not 1 88-91 civic. I grabbed a bunch of clips from other cars, but none worked correctly. I could also use the driver side inside handle thingy for the door.
