Re: 3.4 sawp to 4.3

what tranny do you have with the 4.3? Its definetly possible and well worth it if you already have a 4.3 lying around.

Re: 3.4 sawp to 4.3

that 4.3 tranny probably isn't set up for an f-body suspension (torque arm and mounting locations) you'd either have to find some way to modify it to fit or perhaps the tranny from the 3.4 will fit the 4.3.

no the 4.3 will not bolt to the 3.4 tranny.......the 4.3 is a 90 degree motor and the 3.4 is a 60 degree....different bolt patterns

Re: 3.4 sawp to 4.3

I believe putting the 4.3 in will take same modifications as putting a 350 in (since they are the same, just minus 2 pistons).

Also, what year of s10 is that engine comming out of?
If its a later model 95+ i believe it would have the 4L60E tranny, or if its older, it will have the 700R4

Good luck

Re: 3.4 sawp to 4.3

That would be a good swap without a lot of clearance issues. Not to mention the power potetial for the 4.3.
