Is there such thing as a group buy for us?

The 1:1 car forums usually has tons of group buys for some parts that everybody wants. So is it possible to do a group buy for a car kit that a lot of people would want? It would probably need to be something expensive enough that the dealer could afford to give enough of a discount to make it worth while for people. Maybe something like the Tamiya Nismo Skyline Z-Tune or one of the Fujimi Ferrari/Lambo kits? What do you guys think? Anybody got any connections?

Re: Is there such thing as a group buy for us?

I am up for a group buy on the 1/12 Camaro kit from Revell. I want 4 or 5 just for myself.
I think this is a good idea! Typically the site sponsers start the group purchase, so I don`t know how that would work for us. I don`t see many banners for scale cars here. Most of the advertisements are for 1:1 cars.

If something comes of a group buy for the Revell 1/12 Camaro, count me in for at least 3.

I also have got a suggestion.

What about a group buy of the 1:12 Audi R8 engine from Le Mans Miniatures?
We can do a sort of competition and look who can build the nicest engine out of it.
The price is high enough (Euro 99 – 180,40) to give a decent discount for a group buy.
