94 convertible Airbag Light

The airbag light on this car will not go off. I've determined it is a code 12 but my mechanic is unsure of how to solve the problem. There isn't much info out there on this issue, any ideas would be great, thanks.

The problem is a Bad ground. You will have to remove the dash there is a common ground.

Re: 94 convertible Airbag Light

I have a 94 conv. with the same problem. It started when I got it back from get it painted. Take the dash off and there is a common ground... Where is the common ground? Do I have to take off the entire dash or maybe just the radio bezel?

Re: 94 convertible Airbag Light

How does a ground on the interior go bad , and under the dash . It just is hard to beleive. With my findings , I,ve replaced the clock switch in the sterring wheel. That is also the grounding point for the air bag light.
