Electrical Issues
I created an enormous problem with the electrical system today. I was trying to get a loudspeaker to work and created a short. The speaker was wired to the ignition in the fuse block. There were no fuses that blew and the wires for the speaker were cooked. Now the truck will not run with the the blower motor turned on, or anything that has to do with air control. The radio just flat won't come on. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i assume that there is a short somewhere that is causing these problems. What i was wondering is if any of u have an idea where to look, or if there is something else that could be causing this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I need help quick because this is my only form of transportation, and i don't trust taking it anywhere at the moment.

Guages
Ok, I replaced the ignition switch, now the truck runs fine and doesn't die when the blower motor is on, and the radio works. But, I have absolutely no instrument panel. Warning lights don't come on at startup and none of the gauges work. Im to my wits end on wiring, does anybody have an idea of what could be causing the gauges not to work? any help is greatly appreciated.

My problem goes a little deeper every time I put the fuse back in it keeps blowing. And now a good ALT will not charge the Battier. I think it may have to do with the radio not for sure/ Iremoved it but the wiring, After hearing your Problem and hearing the radio and speaker wiring effected the dash board I think I will look at that more or even the ING switch. |
