1999 cobra battery drain

I have a battery drain in my 99 Cobra. Fresh battery will die in about two days. Appears to be on the #8 fuse circuit under the hood. I can hear a clicking noise, like a relay, when the fuse is pulled and reinstalled.Seems to be comming from ECM in drivers kick pannel. Help me.Don't want to go to a dealer.

Re: 1999 cobra battery drain

what you can check is take off both battery terminals and connect a test light to the battery post of your ground and the pick end of the light to your ground cable itself you need to leave positive terminal connected to the battery . this will let you pull out all of your fuses one by one till you find source of battery drain. if you are certain that it is on number 8 fuse check in your owners manual in the fuse protection to see what all is coveredin that fuse. At auto zone they have really nice haynes manuals with electrical schematics that will help you trace circuits. good luck dealers cost way to much.
