Fuel pump hotwire

One of my friends dads has a 97vr4 that he blew his motor on the other day, and he just gave me a fuel pump hotwire kit that he never installed. My question is would this even be worth doing on my car?? it's pretty much just BPU. I'm just afraid that if I hotwire it with my stock fuel pump, injectors, and turbos I just might run really rich and that's all....

Re: Fuel pump hotwire

get bigger injectors and an SAFC and then install it with a supra fuel pump.

Re: Fuel pump hotwire

I would only rewire if you've got some sorts of upgrades... b/c the more power that gets to that pump, the more it'll be able to flow... so unless you got bigger injectors, cranked up the boost, intakes, etc... I'd hold onto the kit until you do that... or e-bay will gladly take it off your hands..

Re: Fuel pump hotwire

you can go to www.3si.org and go to the classified sections and usually find a better quality product for great prices. Bought quite a few things from 3si.org.
