First time I hit it.

Ill never forget the first time I hit VTEC. I was test driving my 2000 civic si. The car had an AEM Cold Air Intake, no catalytic converter, and a tenzo axle back muffler. It also had a short throw shifter that didn't have a shift knob, so I drove it like that. I was cruising along and I got up into the Rev's and I heard this weird sound that sounded like a racecar. As soon as I Hit it....I figured it was time to shift. So I did....For weeks, then I discovered automotiveforums.com. Here I learned I could stay in each gear longer....and that the sound I was hearing was VTEC. I still have not heard an SI that sounds quite like mine. So to all you B16/B18 VTEC owners out there... Do you crave to hear the sound of VTEC every day as I do?

If you have a sound clip of your car in VTEC please post it.

OMG...LOL...are you serious man...when i read the topic i thought it meant the first time you got some from a girl...people dont really post how their VTEC sounds on their car...not to steal the thread but since you mentioned VTEC sound I just wondered if i-vtec sounds any different than vtec...

yes I-VTEC does have a tone that differs from older VTEC and as well all know sohc and dohc vtec differ in tone.

Me vtec has worn off in care meter it was cool at 17. I much rather a lope in the idle and power pre 5K rpm.

Maybe if someone killed vtec and had a full idle to powerband rev sound clip then it would be a little more different. Just search on dogpile for vtec videos if sound clips thrill you.

this is the funniest most stupid thread i've ever come accross, i was thinking "why's he talking about sex in the honda forums ?" then i truned to "he's having car-sex...?" and finally "first time he hit VTEC ? WTF ?"
