open parking lot, rain, best way to practice using awd probably, you'll be able to learn how exactly to do it, plus you cant hit much, i did this with the svx and was able to slide a little, automatic doens't help very much though, thats about all the tips i could give just try it and see what works to get sideways.

Re: Drifting an AWD

Braking would prolly be the best way to intitiate. If not that then prolly a braking feint combo.

thats really the only way to intiate an all wheel drive car. after you intitiate your gonna need some big power to continue or you'll never be able to do more than 1-2 corners linked.

Re: Drifting an AWD

you could but you'll be losing so much power wouldn't you? plus i dunno about braking into it that seems like it'll require a little too much, i think the best way would just be to use your weight but it'll all depend on how that car will handle, i dunno if an impreza will have the power to hold eihter but its worth a shot, and hey you could always try some rallycross in the dirt that'll stay sideways =D
