Im a huge fan, I cant stand Buffy, but my better half has all the Fireflys on DVD, we watched all of them over a few months early this year.

We still have to wait till November till the movie is released here, and I really can't wait!



As for Sci Fi?
I have a collection of several hundred books lining my shelves and in boxes, Iv watched every movie I can find in 3 differnt video stores, and Iv sat through all of Babylon 5 and its spin offs including the movies, Iv seen all of Firefly on DVD, We have only 8 epsiodes left of FarScape plus the mini seriss, and of course there are lots of quirky series Iv seen. Not to mentions years of Startrek and its spin offs as a kid.

Some of the best writting I have heard in years, and this idiot say that crap. He don't get it at all.

It is basically a Sci-Fi, western with some of the best writing you will ever see or hear. It is a story about a crew of smugglers 500 years in the future. However this future is not as pure as it is portrayed in most other Sci-Fi. It is very dirty and thus you get the western feel. The guns are old west to super futuristic. They do fly on a spaceship from planet to planet but that is mostly where the sci-fi ends. The crew of smugglers is Capt. Malcom Reynolds, Zoe (First Mate), Wash (Pilot), Jayne (Mr. Tough Guy), and Kaylee (Mechanic). There is an Ambassador (companion, high class prostitute) named Inara that rents a docking vessel from the main ship. Then they pick up some passengers Shepard Book (a man of God), Simon, an alliance trained doctor who found out what the alliance was doing to his sister (River) and had to kidnap her from a testing facility. You seem them chased by Alliance because they want River back, chased by Reavers cause they wanna eat the crew, you see them on their smuggling run and dealing with the smuggling bosses and then you see them trying to co-exist with each other but you also get to see them become very close to each other. It is full of comedy and action that will keep you wanting more.
