96 4.3L P0327 & P1870

Hi All,
Have a 96 blazer, 83K miles, 4.3L, 4WD. I have PP0327 (knock sensor) and P1870(tranny component slipping). Any advise from frrom you guys would be greatly appreciated. Are these usually major fixes especially the tranny one?
Thanks

Do a search for 1870 here or google it, plenty of info on this common condition.
