OMG the longest day of working on my car ever!!!

All I can say is damn Im glad it's over. I started the day around 840 when I went and got my new CV axle, went through the procedure of taking the old one out, wheel, lower control arm, blah blah blah blah blah. But then the stupid axle wouldnt come out of the knuckle. It wouldnt budge at all even with hammering. PB blaster, hammer NOTHING. PB blaster, torch, hammer NOTHING. So I took the whole suspension apart and pulled the steering knuckle/axle off the car. I was pretty fed up at this point so I took it to a nearby shop who just laughed at me and said good luck, if I was still having troubles to bring it by monday WTF!?!?!?!?!? Took it home and put it under the torch for like 10 minutes then started whacking again, this time it actually moved a little(this was one of the happiest moments of my day). Finally with some 2 jaw pullers I got it to move a whole inch!!! But now the end of the axle was so mushroomed from hammering that it wouldnt go through, now I have to go through and cut that piece down done, and out it came. This is the end of my frusterating day which went from a 1 to 2 hour cv axle change to a 9 hour painful saga. I spent the whole day with that stupid axle. Arghhh anyway had to vent.

That shit happens. Especially on older cars like ours.

I took my car in to get my snow tires swapped out for my summer tires a few months ago, and I was informed that I needed a complete brake system overhaul. Not what I was expecting, and not a very nice surprise. Shit happens. But owning a 4g is SO worth it!

One thing I've learned...

When you take your car to a place to have them do your tires, they will almost ALWAYS say that you need some kind of brake/suspension work... It's been my experience that they're just trying to whore their other services on you wether you need it or not.
