can i add an turbo charger to an 1989 ford escort and if so where can i find them

To my knowledge no one makes a turbo for an Escort. I have searched high and low and they just don't make an aftermarket turbo. A guy who posts regularly on the Escort Forum made a turbo for a 2nd generation scort. His name is Jeffescortlx. Search his posts and threads to figure what you are up against to make one for yourself.

If you read all of Jeffescortlx's stuff and check out his cardomain page then you can do everything yourself.

Start looking for a 1984-85.5 1.6 Turbo Escort GT or EXP and use those parts to turbo yours. Good luck though, there getting very rare.

Or hop on a plane and go to the UK, then grab a Escort RS 1.6 Turbo.

Or just do a custom set up.

How much money do you have to spend on this?
