Question 2005 Silverado Front End

I have an 05 z71, 5.3 extended cab. When I bought the truck new before driving it off the lot I had the dealership swap out the 265's for some 35" pro comps. Of course this necesitated cranking on the torsion bars, followed by a realignment. When the truck was brand new it felt fine but now about 9 months old I notice a loose rattling feel in both the steering wheel and in the floor boards when I drive over minor roadway bumps. Anybody experience this? and if so what needs to be done?

It could be the steering shaft. There's a known flaw in the earlier models that causes them to rattle, especially noticable when cornering. I'm not sure if they updated the shafts in the 05's or just farked you like the rest of us.

They do have an updated shaft that they will replace under warranty if that's what's causing your problem.
