tempretur sensor

hi everyone
i have BMW 1998 540 the tempretur insid the car allways shows -40 i thing got stuck at this number befour was working good after heavy rain and happend that any idea wher is that sensor or somo thing else

its under the RF bumber on the splash sheild in front of tire the temp sensor is most likly missing due to hitting somthing replaced the sensor as long as wireing is not damaged.
