transmission problems?

lateley ive been having this problem where when i am at a stop if i accellerate quickly my car will start jerking violently and it rattles the whole car (not very pleasant). it also does it but only a little bit when the car shifts into 2nd.(automatic). i assumed this was a tranny prob. and my tranny has a small leak in it so i filled it up with trannsmission fluid and it went away fror a while and then it started doing it again so i put more fluid in it just in case but this tim e it didnt help and just kept doing it. so what do you think about time to retire my tranny or what. also another thing i noticed but im not sure if it s supposed to be like this or what but when i popped the hood and i rocked the car back in forth and the engine moved inside the bay it kinda moved up and down a little i figured it wa s supposed to do that but it looked odd so i dont know.

Re: transmission problems?

thats kinda weird, ae your half shafts alright? my car jerks cuz both mine are bad (again) like that on hevy acceleration, and when its cold outside.

and yes the engine moves to allow for all the tourqe being made, it pulls back a little so it wont put so muych stress on the body, pass/driver side mounts...thats why you have the 2 mounts on your crossmember so it can move a little
