ignition switch

My 2000 concord 2.7L engine has a problem with the ignition switch not wanting to switch. It is like it is the wrong key....will not rotate any. Could someone tell me what to look for. Is the key or lock wore out or what else could be the problem.

Re: ignition switch

the prob is usually in the lock cylinder. replace this (provided your key is in decent condition) and your problem should go away
P.S. make sure your steering wheel isn't holding pressure on the lock

Thanks for the info, but the problem has been resolved by readjusting the cable from the shift lever to the switch.
