a few more renderings, Mercedes SLK 55 and Ferrari Enzo

These are a couple more marker/pastel drawings that I did as part of my final project for my rendering class. Both were done in the same way that my tC rendering was done, first with markers, and then with pastels and baby powder, finished with ball point pens and pencils.

All of it looks AWESOME except that there's too much black on the side of the enzo instead of the red paint... Like it's a mural painted on... IMO.

god NO... PLEASE, god NO...

Not another ridiculously skilled artist...

LOL, just playin. You're crazy good though... I could never draw like that in marker.

The rims on the enzo are a bit 2D. Everything else is awesome.

the Enzo is so shiny! just one thing on it though, everything is really shiny on the rest of the car, but the door that is up kinda looks eh. great job and the SLK too!

Re: a few more renderings, Mercedes SLK 55 and Ferrari Enzo

lemorris - what's an artograph?

And yeah, I know about the rims, wheels are IMO the hardest part of drawing any car; you have to get the tires and rims to be perfect ellipses, the spokes on the rims have to be symetrical, and the shadows have to be absolutely perfect. Needless to say, the wheels on the Enzo don't look that great, but for now, its okay in my eyes. As for the "mural-ness" of the Enzo, I guess I can stand to tint it red a bit more, looks like it didn't come out as red as I thought it would.

Thanks for the comments.

artograph is a company that makes opaque projectors. An opaque projector is a tool some artists use to enlarge/shrink/trace lines etc from pictures. you take an image and put it in and then it projects it on a wall or work table so you can get the lines down fast
