on a 2000 cavalier that is automatic transmission, is it possible to replace the shifter knob and/or emergency brake handle? if so, how? thanks.

Re: replacing shifter knob on automatic

As for the shift knob, its possible, there is a c-clip on the front part of the knob(inside a small slot), you have to pull it straight out(forward) with a flat screw driver or something and the knob will slide straight up. as for the e-brake handle, i'm sure it comes off just not sure how.

OK, how do you get the handle off? It looks like there is a pin, but we pushed it in and pulled but it won't come off, any suggestions?
